I always return here when I visit Nuremberg, to see this church that was a stop on the Pilgrimage route to Santiago. Go upstairs? to the High Altar and see this masterpiece.

Located On the place named for the Church - Jacobsplatz. The Church is free to visit & entered through a very modern small vestibule. It is nice inside, but sparsely decorated, yet has wonderful tall stained glass windows. There was scaffolding covering much of them...More

Frankly nice but nothing special about the building but they hold an English language service twice a month and a nicer more welcoming congregation you couldn't wish to meet.

Jakobskirche dates back to 1209 and has a beautiful alter. We were fortunate to attend Christmas Eve Service here. The congregation was very welcoming.

The exterior and interior of this church are very simple and plain, but the inside has been decorated with old tombstones and some old art work. I can only assume that it was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt.

A beautiful stone building placed in Jakobsplatz. Not very big and not out of common. There are at least three more impressive churches in Nuremberg,St Sebaldus,St Lorenz and Frauenkirche. But this one worth a short visit. Across the street is another interesting church,Elisabethkirche.
