Great stadium. Great guide. Inflexible management
Really impressive arena and a great tour guide, but almost ruined as we arrived slightly behind schedule - and the management refused to let us in! We waited, and fortunately one of the guides allowed us to join a later tour, which made my son’s day! So a 5 for the stadium and a 5 for our tour guide. But it would have been a 1 at best if I was scoring the management, who I thought could have been a lot more flexible and helpful than they were. If you want to avoid doing the ‘great escape’ in reverse like we did (ie struggling to find ways to get into the compound rather than get out of it) my advice would be to leave plenty of time to get there, before the time printed on your ticket. It takes around 15 minutes brisk walk from the Frottmaning train station to get to the arena.

    Mixed feelings
Excellent atmosphere for the football. The crowd where we were, admittedly in the more expensive seats, were relaxed even though their team was being trounced 3-0 by RB Leipzig on the night Harry Kane made his debut. There were even some Leipzig fans among us and the Bayern fans just laughed when they celebrated their team scoring. Went back the following day for the tour and was underwhelmed. It was all very functional and the guide was unimpressive. He talked a lot about money and how much the stadium earns Bayern Munich but said almost nothing about football itself. Quite disappointing really.

    Easy Access
The arena or stadium is very easy to get to from U6 from Munich centre then it's a short 15 minutes walk towards it. It's all signed posted and you could not miss it either. Overall very modern and clean, the area is OK.

No champagne as promised but otherwise good!
We booked the VIP tour for this and it included a visit to the boxes and the areas the usual tour doesn’t get to see. We had a sit in the chair of the owner and got the see the suite where only the elite can be invited. It was an interesting and fascinating tour including the tunnel, dressing room and a view from the dug out. My only complaint would be there was supposed to be champagne on our tour and there wasn’t and the gift shop is a HUGELY overpriced tourist trap full of kids grabbing at every possible piece of merchandise they can but the tour itself and our guide was very good. If you are a fan then definitely book the VIP tour just don’t expect the champagne!

    Amazing!
I have been to many great sporting venues and matches across Europe and North America, but I can honestly say my experience of watching FC Bayern play in Allianz Arena was second to none. The stadium itself is excellent. Even though it is a big arena with a capacity of 75,000, the views are great no matter where you sit. The atmosphere when Bayern plays is amazing. Unlike other stadiums, I found the fans very civilised, no constant swearing and standing up for no reason. What was also very impressive was how efficiently everything was run. Despite the match being sold out, it was very easy to get inside and to leave afterwards. There was practically no queuing to get the train back to the city centre afterwards or to get a delicious bratwurst and drink at half-time. A five-star experience in every way!

    Insane energy
Very impressive arena. Went for Bayern München game. The energy was insane! I wish the gift store was inside. Surprisingly, there was no trouble getting a cab after the game since there was a long line of cabs oitside

A football game is a must
Watched FC Bayern Munich v VfB Stuttgart, the atmosphere was amazing. Easy to get to the stadium by train and we managed to get on the first train on the way back to the hotel. Great stadium, great experience.

A great stadium tour, even if you are not a big Bayern (or even football) fan
The stadium is really an interesting place to visit and the tour was pretty good. We took a tour in English and got to most parts of the stadium including the players bench, Bayern locker room, tunnel out to the pitch, press centre and up through the stands. Excellent and informative guide and a fun tour. Mind you, it is a fair way out of town and the walk from the U-Bahn station is a good 15 mins (and was brutal on a wet and windy day).

    Great tour guide
English arena tour and museum entry. Guide (Hans) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Informative tour with full access to all stadium areas. Long walk from U barn in bad weather; ordered an Uber.

Fantastic day, museum brill, lots to see/do, interactive. Shop good but pathetically priced (230 for away kit). Actual tour was brilliant, the stadium it self is very impressive. Best part of Munich by a mile

Great experience for football enthusiasts! Interesting museum included too! Do not take backpacks as they do not allow them!

Was visiting for the Germany v Scotland match in the opening day of the European Championships.

After a great day in the city soaking up the atmosphere, I was really up for the visit to the stadium for the match.

Getting in to the stadium was ok, and the atmosphere inside was incredible, with what I feel being the best seats in the house.

After the game unfortunately it was a complete shambles, and it was almost 3 hours after the final whistle before we finally arrived back in the city centre, as public transport links for the stadium really let it down in a big way.

Having visited 60+ away games with Scotland, and visited most of the BIG stadiums European football has to offer, while this one is easily the best once inside from a match point of view, its really let down by its out of town location.

Hope to visit again one day.

I have been to the allianz arena a few times and loved it every single time. I am a fan club member but even if you're not pricing is still not as costly as you would think especially when you're at one of the top stadiums in the world. I have been a supporter since 1998 and never looked back since. I was at the Bayern vs Frankfurt game and the atmosphere was amazing and everyone was in good spirits. I got a ticket that was mid tier with the perfect view and I got a hotel which was a 45 minute walk away and the scenery in Garching is beautiful let me tell you. This was one of the best days of my life 🙂🇩🇪⚽😊

Museum was interesting lots of history in there and a good way to spend the hour and a half before the tour. The sheer amount of trophies was immense as well.

The stadium tour was excellent and the Allianz is absolutely stunning inside a real treat to visit. Was a honour to walk around it and go pitch level and sit in the dugout.

Seeing the Euro branding on the arena as well was special. Big thanks please to our guide Hans who was a delight very knowledgable and engaging and added a touch of humour to the tour.

Thanks for providing a true highlight for our Munich trip and for 29 euro for the combi ticket i'd highly recommend.

We went in the pouring rain but still really enjoyed it. The stadium is very impressive and you can tell it would have a great atmosphere.
The museum was really interesting too. There is a soft play section there and small 3v3 area which the kids loved.
Security is VERY strict. I had to leave my small rucksack and pram at security. Its about 10minutes from the nearest ubahn. These are probably the only two negatives though.

Stadium is very impressive from the outside. Other than that it's a poor ground to visit for away fans.
I'm an ambulant disabled . My advice is that if you are any kind disabled don't bother!
The walk to the ground from the train station is about a mile! Inside it's a concrete jungle. The police told us to go a certain way when we did we were refused entry as it was the home end. So had to walk back to the station again. In all I walked 2 miles to get in. The atmosphere inside is fantastic as well as 99.9% of Bayern fans . But unfortunately the getting there was horrendous , same as coming out back to the station. There needs to be better signs and a shuttle bus for disabled visitors.

Passed by it as we drove to the city from the airport, and could not but wonder at its size and beauty! Recollected my visit to the place the last time round.
