Our family makes a point of visiting a handful of museums everywhere we go and all 3 of us agreed this was our worst experience so far. Every staff we encountered treated visitors (perhaps only foreigners who don't speak German) in a hostile and "I...More

Went in the Treasury only in this Museum. Quite a collection of bejeweled objects. Worth spending an hour or more.

I must be honest: I didn’t see everything, but I did focus on two areas that particularly interest me: baroque decorative arts and late medieval statuary. I also saw the museum’s splendid collection of ivories. The baroque area has been re-arranged and as a result...More

Great collection of Bavarian art. Our favorite room was all the weaponry. Could have spent hours more. The audio guide was helpful.

We are very fond of Bavarian living, history and especially food and prominent products- its a package thing when you visit this interesting museum.

Shame one never has enough time to browse in a museum. I only wish that the gift shop had more things it was limited and unimaginative. The entrance is so cheap

If things Medieval are your thing, this is your place. The pieces I particularly enjoyed were the ivory relief carvings from the early middle ages.

So many Nativity scenes in the basement! We didn't realize how long it would go on. By the time we made it out, we had blown our tolerance. There were cool and interesting things upstairs, but we did a quicker walk through. Definitely start upstairs....More

It simply is a must see event in Munich. It isn't open on Mondays. But every other day of the week it is open 10-5pm local time.

The entrance fee is about $8, which is a rough conversion of the cost of €7. A lot of the staff do speak English, at the ticket desk, shop and the restaurant. This is pretty common in Germany. Whether they are nice will... More
