nice place to walk and relax

A good walk can be had here and a nice beer drunk at the restaurants and bars in the park but in winter they are closed Monday and Tuesdays and dont open after 5pm.

This is a beautiful English garden, complete with a Beer Garden is the perfect respite from the bustling Munich. Additionally, you will find a lake, waterfall, Chinese tower, lovely trees, ducks and sunbathers in the warmer months ducks and even surfers. Lovely to walk or bike ride. Beautiful when covered in snow during the winter. Occasionally you will be able... More

Traveled to Munich in Feb of this year (2017) and expected snow etc, but found the sun out and temp of 13 C, so made a trip over to see the Gardens and was so pleased we did. Well worth the 15 minute walk North East from the city centre.

An amazing place for a walk and to take a break from the busy city. We visited during the winter season and it was really lovely. Stopped at the Christmas Market by the Chinese Tower (Chinesischer Turm) for a rest and some refreshments. Must return to see what differences there are in the summer.

This is a small family oriented Christmas market - unfortunately the Carousel nearby was closed for the winter. The lights and the food made a lovely family atmosphere and there was a traditional band playing in the Chinese tower.

The English Garden is a large, long park in Munich. I've wandered around the southern end, closest to the Marienplatz and Odeonsplatz. On summer weekends the park is very popular. Be sure to visit the gazebo as you'll likely find a musician playing there.

We took a walk through here, nothing too crazy to report except one naked guy walking around which was interesting. Not in a creepy way, just in a European kind of way. There was a great biergarten right as you walk in, stop and have a few, think of me.

The english garden was one of my favorites places in Munich. The place is very relaxing, I went in the middle of winter, and the place was full of people, there was even people doing some sort of surfing in a stream that crosses the park. You can even have a meal and beer, with a very timeless setting and... More

The English Garden represents one of Munich hot spots, where local meets and life takes place. The Garden houses a lot of different plant variations and offers a lot space to sit down and relax. In the summer it's always crowded offering a lot of opportunities to meet new people or if you want to cool down just have a... More
