One of the great city parks and with a Bavarian flavour. In the summer enjoy a litre of HB at the beer garden in the shadow of the pagoda/bandstand listening to traditional music. In the winter have a coffee or lunch outside, wrapped in a blanket overlooking the frozen boating lake. Miles of walking, cycling and fresh air to be... More

Great place for a wonder with the children. Watch the joggers run by and the surfers on the rivers that run through it. See the waterfall and play poo sticks on the river bridges. So tranquil but would be best on a nice warm sunny day!

I had the chance to walk through the park in a January snowfall. It was gorgeous, almost silent except for the crunching of the snow. Very different from summer.

A good walk can be had here and a nice beer drunk at the restaurants and bars in the park but in winter they are closed Monday and Tuesdays and dont open after 5pm.

This is a beautiful English garden, complete with a Beer Garden is the perfect respite from the bustling Munich. Additionally, you will find a lake, waterfall, Chinese tower, lovely trees, ducks and sunbathers in the warmer months ducks and even surfers. Lovely to walk or bike ride. Beautiful when covered in snow during the winter. Occasionally you will be able... More

Traveled to Munich in Feb of this year (2017) and expected snow etc, but found the sun out and temp of 13 C, so made a trip over to see the Gardens and was so pleased we did. Well worth the 15 minute walk North East from the city centre.

An amazing place for a walk and to take a break from the busy city. We visited during the winter season and it was really lovely. Stopped at the Christmas Market by the Chinese Tower (Chinesischer Turm) for a rest and some refreshments. Must return to see what differences there are in the summer.

This is a small family oriented Christmas market - unfortunately the Carousel nearby was closed for the winter. The lights and the food made a lovely family atmosphere and there was a traditional band playing in the Chinese tower.
