We came here for a concert and it was amazing. Wonderful acoustics. Wonderful venue - full of history. My only complaint is that it's far from the main city so if you don't have your own car, arrange for transport after the event/sightseeing. We had...More

This castle is within the city of Munich. We went there via the hop on/hop off bus so it was convenient. Castle is great and grounds are not to be overlooked.

Nice place for a stroll to spend some time in green area outside grey centre of Munich. In winter hiking boots preferable if raining or snowing.

A peaceful area with beautiful scenery. There is a pond with ducks and swans in the area which you can get near. There is also the freedom to walk around the outdoor area which was nice for us visiting.

Both the castle and grounds are amazing. Though the statues in the garden were covered for winter, it was still a lovely place for a long walk. And it is well worth it to pay to see the castle

The Palace is a beautiful place to visit in any season. You can get lost in the gardens for hours. I cannot think of a more tranquil place in Munich. Don’t miss this on a trip to Munich.

The grounds were covered in snow and ice. We got there late afternoon. The grounds at the rear are a public park (free) and quite extensive. We were too late to explore them and to see the botanic garden adjacent to them. Get to the...More

Unlike the other responses I believe that the audio guide is essential since it provides wonderful insights and helps to avoid aimless wandering through this wonderful palace.
