This is once of largest biergartens in Munich, maybe #2 or #3, and is really popular in the Spring and Summer. It is often very busy, especially on the weekends, but kind of mandatory for those passing through. I've seen most of Munich's biergartens, and...More

Highly recommend coming here! Located in the middle of the English garden there are a large number of food stalls in addition to the beers. Super relaxed atmosphere, could easily spend an entire afternoon and evening here drinking and people watching.

This was my "home-beer garden" - I used to live nearby. It's a really nice one in the middle of the biggest city park (Englischer Garten) in the world. Inside the big Chinese pagoda plays the typical Bavarian live music. You will enjoy great typical...More

I enjoyed this beer garden a lot - the food was tasty and the beer was cold! The men serving beer were fun and friendly and everything was reasonably priced. I would recommend coming here as part of Mike's Bikes 4pm tour with some friends,...More

This beer garden is situated in the beautiful English Garden park. It is the second the largest beer garden in Munich. The Chinese Tower is impressive and makes the beer garden more interesting. At certain times of the week they play traditional music, which adds...More

Lovely beer garden in the middle of the Englischer Garten. We met a friend here for lunch and had a few bits of standard German fare with some nice beers. Food was a bit pricey, but the experience was very good.

You can easily spend a few hours here, drinking beer, eating some food and listening to the Bavarian music played live from the Chinese Tower. Prices are decent, the beer is fantastic and the food is also fine. It's all about the atmosphere and the...More

It's an easy walk within the city. We didn't take a tour, we simply followed a map. It's a nice setting in which to enjoy the local food. I don't know if it counts as a "wonderful restaurant" as it's on such a large scale... More
