In general it is a big cathedral but without any fancy ornaments like the ones that can be found in other European cities. The beauty in the inside is the light; with big windows that create an amazing atmosphere, this is an obligated visit if...More

Very beautiful church, but the highlight for me was the devil's footprint! We all took turns putting our feet in the footprint and it looks like my cousin's foot is exactly the same size....!

This church is much plainer than the others in the city centre considering it is the Cathedral church. The front is being renovated so we had to enter a back entrance. An interesting fact is that no other buildings are allowed to be higher than...More

This is an example of very old architecture - a building made of bricks and so huge. Inside a simple and calm prevails. Location is amidst the bouquet of other churches.

Nice architecture. A landmark of Munich. Located in the centre of Munich. No photo taking inside church

Not as beautiful as other nearby churches (St. Michael's, St. Peter's, Holy Ghost), but very interesting. History and architecture. Near the Marienplatz in the center of Munich.

My famiily and I loved the story relating to the way in which this church was built and paid for! Take a look inside and find the "footprint" of the devil and learn why the location around the church is always windy - fascinating!

Easy walk from Marienplatz so we went to visit this church along with others. It has great ceilings, doesn't have the grand alter as others. It has a huge burial crypt inside the church. Beautiful architecture in this church and throughout Munich.

The arches and ceiling of this cathedral are very unique, worth seeing. Extremely high ceiling in side with narrow aisles. And like St. Michaels and St. Peters, the art is beautiful.

One of the oldest parish church in Munich which bears the devil’s footprint. The story goes like this….. the architect made a deal with the Devil: the Devil would provide funds for the cathedral as long as it remained a celebration of darkness. No windows...More

Don't know the answer to this. St. Peter is a good idea if you had a good preparation like a lunch or breakfast. I personally did not like the very narrow balcony, It is quite a challenge to pass between two people. But the... More

Thank you for your question. It has been a long time on, seems now to be removed. We will receive a visit from Boston this Summer so this is a place we aim to visit again.
