situated above the Carriage museum, which is fascinating and high recommended, the Porcelain museum is interesting but not my kind of thing really, a variety of items on display. The museum itself is not that large and might take only 30 mins to look around but is included in the combined ticket.

This was just too too much for me. I am not a porcelain figurines enthusiast so I you must consider that when reading my review. The only thing I found interesting was in the main hall- sets of dinnerware in the most vibrant shades of raspberry, blue and green. Magnificent. As for the rest, oh dear- shepherds, geese, horses, ooh... More

As part of the Marstallmuseum located in the former stables of Nymphenburg palace, I must single out this attraction. The porcelain objects on display are exquisite. A great many are from the early to mid 19th century when money was obviously no object and craftsmanship was at its peak. Even if you have little interest in such you can occupy... More

Within the town of Munich (20 min. by street -car 16). The summer residence of the Bavarian. kings. I recommend especially the Amalien Burg - small hunting palace, but very beautiful arranged. You need more time, at least a couple of hours to visit and enjoy the main sights of the place. Don't miss the performance of the wildlife birds... More

Have someone take the kids to the nearby natural history museum, or just let them play on the grounds, then take 30 min. to wander through and see sheer beauty.
