    Beautiful Church
This is a beautiful church in Munich. If you just visit the main floor it is free but I recommend going to see the crypt where many of the Wittlesbachs (Bavarian Royal family) were buried. It doesn't take long to see everything.

    Outstanding Mass During Oktoberfest
My wife and I came here for Mass on Sunday during Oktoberfest. This place was packed, bit absolutely wonderful. St. Michael's is a Jesuit church in Munich. It is the largest Renaissance church north of the Alps. The style of the building had an enormous influence on Southern German early Baroque architecture. Recharge the batteries and be blessed.

    Beautiful and peaceful
St. Michaels is absolutely lovely and while busy was not crowded. Everything from the architecture to the fabulous artwork is beautiful and definitely something you should see if you're in Munich. The incense is very strong and there was enough of it to cloud the air when we were there so if you have breathing issues keep that in mind.

It is the other beautiful and impressive church in Munich. It is very close to Marianplatz. Entrance is free. Just make sure you don’t disturb anyone praying.

Large, beautiful church, not far off from Marienplatz.

Unfortunately didn't get to go to the crypt (it's closed on Sundays), where the famous "Mad" King Ludwig II is buried.

This Jesuit church is the largest Renaissance church north of the Alps. The style of the building has also been influenced by Southern German Baroque architecture. The church was consecrated in 1597.

When the Jesuits were banned from most Catholic territories in Europe, the church came into possession of the Bavarian Royal Family and eventually the State of Bavaria, when Germany became a republic. So the crypt contains many Royal tombs.

The interior has a beautiful stucco decoration. So it is worth visiting inside also.

Absolutely beautiful church. Situated only steps away from the touristy area of Marienplatz. The church also contains the final resting place of King Ludwig and other members of the royal family.
