We took the required tour, (in German but with good written guide in English) and really enjoyed the palace. Great art, tapestries, wonderful ceilings.

I have to admit, I am a huge royal family fan, and I have a very kind husband who will basically go wherever I drag him. So while traveling from Dresden to Rothenburg of course we are going to stop at Prince Albert's boyhood home!...More

Rude and unhelpful shouted that the tour was full. Avoid. Go to Coburg castle instead if you have time.

It's worth a trip through this house, 5 mins walk from the town square: it's combination of state rooms and interesting details that pepper this tour - early plumbing, sumptuous plaster-fittings, a meditation corner, a playable 200-year-old French piano and paintings of all the royals...More

Such a beautiful royal palace- right in the middle of the Coburg! Tours at the top of each hour are only in German, but there is an English booklet that is informative. The private rooms are just exquisite, and the Hall of Giants is breathtaking!...More

Impressive castle with a long history. To recommend for all who take an interest in the house of Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha. Take a guided tour to get the most of out of your visit. We had a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide.

We went to Schloss Ehrenburg on a Saturday for the 5pm tour. The young tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, throwing lots of jokes into the tour. (They were in German, which we don’t understand, but it was still nice). We were offered sheets...More

While somewhat bland on the outside, the interior is worth the price of admission, See Victoria's bed and then some. All is well preserved, and where else do you get a chance to play the piano Queen Victoria played during her 7 visits there..
