Having been to Go Ape in the UK we gave the German equivalent a go. (drive up to the site rather than parking in the ski lift carpark it will save money and your legs) At circa 70 euros for 4 people for 3 hours it appears expensive but per hour per person its a good value half day activity.... Many courses available, very highly innovative stages, good for children and adults, recommended to come at 10am before it gets crowded

My family and I walked here from our flat while on vacation and weren't exactly sure what we'd find. It turns out that it was much more wonderful than we could have imagined. We climbed nonstop for 3 1/2 hours and had a wonderful experience. When we realized that we'd climbed for more than three hours we tried to pay... More

This is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon if you have time & energetic teenagers! Thrill seeker approved (my son), we climbed and zipped through the course from 'white' all the way up to 'brown' level when we decided to call it a day. If you are a climber, used to ropes courses, there is probably something here for... More

We were there for an afternoon of fun and challenging elevated obstacle course and zip lining. There were at least 9 or 10 different courses. Quick safety lesson with demonstration back to instructor and we were off to explore. Should be somewhat fit to enjoy and not be afraid of heights. We had a blast!

We've sampled many of these Tree Top adventure attractions across Europe, they all have different ideas about harness/attachment mechanisms and their own definitions of "easy" versus "hard". Kletterwald have an excellent (if a little complicated) attachment mechanism - the upside is it is pretty much foolproof, so the organisers give you plenty of space, scope and freedom to explore the... Very good way to release kids' steam, conquer one's fear of heights, and have genuine, good fun. It does not matter whether you go with friends or your family, young or old.

This is Go Ape with attitude! After excellent and comprehensive instruction, you're left to your own devices. There are lots of different courses with various difficult levels. Some of the climbs are VERY high! Great fun, but think I'll leave it to the kids next time!

Don't be fooled into thinking this is some sort of tot's playground. It is serious hard work (and fun) for adults too. The courses range from the relatively straightforward to the cold-sweat challenging. We enjoyed it more than we thought we would (2 hours plus via the Zugspitze card) and naturally our teenager thought it was brilliant. Top tip: Don't... More
