Its fun and easy to understand. If you are not a beginner then it will be so much fun. I was a beginner and it was too hard for me, do not go if the weather conditions are bad. View is great! Easy to go...More

Plenty to keep intermediates busy for two days. The black Kandahar runs are steel and smooth, no moguls. Apres ski was basic near lifts, but excellent value.

Great location, great town with lots to do in the local area. All of King Ludwigs castles are within a 2 hour drive, Munich is an hour and a half and Austria is right across the mountains.

If you are an outdoor type of person this area is just fabulous. Wonderful walks with great views all around. The mountains you can visit are superb but there are lovely lowland walks as well. Great choice of sporting activities for summer and winter

We spent the weekend in Hammersbach near Grainau and booked a 2-summit ticket to go up the Zugspitze and to Garmisch Classic. As mentioned in my review about the Zugspitze, the weather there was unbelievable, sunny all day! And that's why we enjoyed it there...More

We had booked a Zugspitze - Garmisch combo ticket. The bases for these are about a 20min drive from each other. Both offer spectacular views from the top. Garmisch Classic offers a bit extra as one can walk a bit more comparatively.

It couldn't be more "Sound of Music" if you visit the mountains in the summer. Excellent lifts (Alpsitzbahn, Kreuzbahn) take you up and down and in-between (hochhalmbahn) for further excursions on foot or just the bahn-ride to enjoy and admire the breathtaking views. So, if...More
