If you have no fear of heights, then this is one the activities to do while you are town. You overlook the whole town of GAP!

A tremendous view of Classic Valley Garmisch-Partenkichen from the Alpspitze Observation Platform. A great visit for new visitors or those returning often to enjoy the great food at the Biergarten next to the platform. Be prepared for a bit of wind...if you are scared of...More

A very well positioned viewing platform, juts out over a tall vertical rock face. Give amazing views of the valley below and beyond.

Very sturdy, so don't be afraid. You won't regret the views. Take a coat even on a sunny day, there's quite a wind chill.

Standard cable car/train combo from Garmisch includes assent to the viewing platform. Views to the east, north and west stretch for miles, while to the south Alpspitz and Hochblassen and immediately west, Waxenstein dominate - quite dramatic, but not for people who don't like heights!
