We liked this. Attractive painted houses and some nice shops. You do this as a visit in itself or visit the nearby ravine or lake if you want a good walk beforehand.

Mittenwald is a lovely village for a day or a stay. We stopped here two nights on the way to Austria, and enjoyed the small village feel, historic streets, evenings of live music and church and violin museum. Very quaint and lovely.

Nice little town, old streets with beautiful traditional houses nicely decorated, some of them housing shops and restaurants, very lively during holidays.

We had a stroll through the town early morning when shops were just about to open. The town has beautifully painted buildings and it's so relaxing strolling around. Wished we had stayed longer in Mittenwald to enjoy the place

One of the prettiest German towns I've visited. Pastell colours and beautiful signs everywhere. It's so clean and relaxed also.
