Firstly, the location of this museum is absolutely stunning. You can immediately see why Hitler chose this place as his retreat. High up in the mountains it is a few miles outside Berchtesgaden so we took a taxi to get to it but I think...More
This is one of the most comprehensive WWII museums (with a Nazi focus) I have ever visited (and as the wife of a WWII history buff, I have visited a lot). It is small and manageable, and the exhibits are comprehensive and impressive. We do...More
A visit to this museum is not as easy as you might think. Hard feelings during the visit and also remains after, it takes time come back to normal.

Will we ever learn..when you immerse yourself in this very well presented documentation centre, & then hear the rhetoric assaulting us from a country & people across the Atlantic who feel a need & sense of entitlement to be Great again & who take their...More
Lovely bustrip up the mountain. No view unfortunately due to rainy day. Very warm inside. Its a pitty they did not show how the nationalsocialism all came to be. This is aspecially important today when brown winds are once again flying all over Europe!
