Fantastic museum even for people who are not fans of cars, like me. It provides not only cars but a lot of history of Germany and the world. I was very impressed

MB has done a great job telling the story of the automobile, and their part in it. We thoroughly enjoyed our English-language guided tour, but we then spent another 90 minutes revisiting the parta we missed or skimmed over. Truly a must-see.

Not sure how far from the airport it is as we were in a camper van. But you do need 3-4 hours there is a lot to see. Well worth the trip.
