Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Basically, the Mahlzahn in Stuttgart is a magical place for shopping for good and delicious food.
Today I went to Di Genaro's and I feel like the only thing they can do right are juicy prices for average goods
The seafood salad consisted exclusively of squid, not shrimp. No shells, nothing available.
The San Daniele tomatoes were completely tasteless and had a floury character
The best was the ham, although at 119 €/kg you can expect a decent quality.
In the future, I will focus more on the smaller retailers, who are on the one hand more attractive in terms of price and certainly also offer a high standard of their offers.
Di Genaro definitely lost me as a customer.

The market is perfect with great choices and varieties, the prices are often excessive but the quality of the products is absolutely there. Typical lively atmosphere with a large clientele.
We went to the Spanish restaurant and ate some good things there, the only downside, and not the least, was the service! The waiter ignored us (arrived on time, table reserved and polite) as soon as we arrived, made us wait much longer than all the other tables (eg bottle of wine arrived once the dishes had been eaten!) and the crowning was the bill that we "could not pay in cash" and which was literally snatched from my hands while I was counting it "because he wanted to check the amount written" but without saying anything or asking before taking it from me! ! Amazing. Especially to be avoided, unless you are reckless, if you are not a regular customer because unpleasant surprises are possible.

Stuttgart's covered market is housed in an Art Nouveau building built at the beginning of the twentieth century, right in the city center, on an area that appears to have been used for commercial activities already in medieval times. We always find it pleasant and interesting to visit the markets and even here in Stuttgart we stopped by but I must say that although very tidy and well kept there is no atmosphere of typical locality, with most of the stalls selling non-local products, if not even of foreign origin. Not a significant visit.

An indoor market in the city center of Stuttgart, near the Old Palace (State Museum). The building is a two-story building in the Art Nouveau style. The central part has an atrium with no columns and a glass roof, giving it an open look. The first floor houses mainly grocery stores, while the second floor houses shops selling furniture and miscellaneous goods.
There aren’t many products that could be souvenirs from your trip, but you can enjoy the atmosphere just by hanging out.

Market halls are one of my must-visits when I travel, so I had to check out Stuttgart's. Well, lots of tasty looking treats, but waaay beyond this reviewer's budget. If I wanted to grab a little of this and that for a lunch in the nearby plaza, I 'd likely walk out 15 euro poorer. I can't see your average 'Berger' choosing to spend money here. If however money is no object for you, you might enjoy.

Magnificent luxurious market but which is worth a look and which will not displease our taste buds
Lots of smells when you come home
A few restaurants on the ground floor or upstairs and a few decoration, tableware, clothing or accessories stores and, currently in any case, magnificent Christmas decorations

A great destination for any foodie. So glad we were staying in a condo for a week so we could purchase some of the wonderful foods. Chocolate was wrapped in clear cellophane so you could see exactly what you were getting. My grandsons loved being able to choose their favorites. Also many choices of olives, pates, cheese, breads, sausage, etc..... Advise going early because it became quite crowded while we was there shopping. Merchants very gracious about samples (glad I know a little German). Take Euros because credit cards not used in many booths. Having your own shopping bag is also a help when buying lots of items in different places.

As an Englishman this was a real eyeopener. It is what you might call an indoor market but it is way beyond anything I have ever seen in the UK. The stalls are laden with fresh fruit and veg, hundreds of different cheeses, thousands of different spices and many kinds of Bread and that is just the start. I recommend a visit to anyone as a excellent example of what a Food Market should be.

Markthalle has two stories of food stalls selling different types of food from all over the world. The price is a bit expensive, but if you're a foodie or a connoisseur, you will enjoy this place.

I was during my holidays in July, and I found this as a lovely place, very good meats and wines. I was in a small corner where the Spanish owners were, they make delicious ham sandwiches and they are super friendly.
I hope to return next year and visit them.
A hug from the Dominican Republic!
