We visited the Egypt and sunken cultures at Rhein and Neckar exhibit. Both very substantial with many excellent exhibits and really detailed descriptions so 5 hours passed in no time. Especially the part with the hieroglyphs is very interesting and there is a special brochure for kids. Also each part has at least one drawer with some explanations which are... More

Anyone who is interested in musik intruments of all kinds and from around the world should really come and see (and listen) to all the exhibits in this museum. It is really wonderful with children who love music and like playing instruments. There was nothing hands on, but we weren't there on a day when they had that offered. I... More

There are several buildings where they have different very interesting exhibitions. If you have enough time visit at leat two museums. The museum buildings itself are worth to see.

The staff isn't helpful at all. It seems like questions regarding orientation aren't welcomed. A plan or a map of the complex is totally missing. Not eveything is bilingual. Also some lights were broken and overall brightness has to be improved. This museum needs some updates...

I went to two exhibitions in this museum: Die Duckomenta, and Ägypten. Die Duckomenta is not for my taste (masterpieces from all times and from all over the world recreated with either Donald or Mickey as the main subjects). Moreover, there was absolutely nothing in English. Ägypten, on the other hand, was very good: all the really interesting information was... More

REM Mannheim, Germany has a lot of very interesting exhibitions like Ägypten Land der Unsterblichlkeit (Egypt: Land of Immortality) or at Zeughaus across the street Kosmos Kunst (Cosmos Art) to mention the last exhibitions.

We came upon this museum after wandering out of the Mannheim town centre in search of its cultural roots. We decided to visit the 'Medici' exhibition. At 12 Euros each plus another 5 for an audio guide in English, it was a little pricey, but we were keen to get out of the midday heat. There were some interesting artifacts... More

Friendly people at a museum can make a world of difference to me and I found the people at this museum to be especially friendly. Every floor had something different to offer, both as permanent exhibits and temporary exhibits. The permanent exhibit about Mannheim is definitely interesting. It was a perfect place to spend a few hours on a chilly... More

We visited this museum on a very hot day and found it very interesting with exhibits of porcelain and glass, art and history of the Mannheim district and town. It was a little expensive at 12 euros each but staff were very helpful and although exhibits were not translated into English it was still very interesting. We also found that... More
