This was the area we stayed in and it was just the perfect location. Everything within walking distance. It is situated between the two rivers - the Rhône and the Saône. It is well located for the shops, restaurants, and the lovely daily outdoor market...More

This part of Lyon is starting to become interesting but there are nearly no cafes or restaurants with character. A big square with some bars but very fast food.

We used to live in this area when we first moved to Lyon. There are some nice places, in particular the Place des Terreaux. You can also stroll down the Rue de la République - in the care free part you have different street artists...More

Most of Lyon's great institutions, monuments and shopping are concentrated in this area: beautiful squares, great boutiques, City Hall, Opera, good restaurants, the Beaux Arts Museum (best art collection in France outside Paris) are all within walking distance.

we were taken to The Presquile during a recent visit to Lyon, what a lovely place to visit, well worth it if you have the opportunity.

We stayed in the Hotel Vaubecour and spent the whole 3 days either exploring the Presq'ile or Vieux Lyon. The area between the 2 rivers is full of places to visit and places to eat.

I actually enjoyed this part of Lyon better than the so-called "old" Lyon. Lots of nice historical building, a great view on the Fourviere hill, and a large variety of shops. It's not big so you can walk everywhere which is so enjoyable. No need...More

This is the upscale slice of Lyon situated between the two rivers - the Rhône and the Saône. Stay in a hotel near the Saône and you can easily walk the best parts of Presque Isle - the shops, restaurants, the daily outdoor market on...More
