We had a very pleasant stroll around the area and a very good meal in a restaurant there. There is a good viewpoint overlooking Lyon.

We took the S6 bus from near the Opera, and got off at Place Croix Rousse. We looked around. There was a small farmers market to one side of the Place, and then further down the Boulevard was a street market with a small number...More

My friend lives around the neighbourhood and I stayed at her place when I visited, the murals are very cool to look at. We spent a lot of time walking around.

So... I had some time to kill in Lyon while my colleague had other business. I walked up some stairs from Montée Bonafous... the views were amazing and the exercise was a plus!

We walk our way up to the Croix-Rousse. this neighbourhood gives you the impression to be in a different town, or village. Enjoy the open market, the small local stores, .... but on the other side the views on the old city centre of Lyon.
