The small train of Croix-Rousse is running through this so atypical district. Lyon City Tram’s goal is to make you discover the “colline des Canuts” on a different way. Its design was not chosen at random because it looks like the historical cable...more

Place des Terreaux | in front of the Bartholdi fountain, 69001, Lyon, France
Trip on the tram included in Only Lyon City Card. Otherwise EUR 9. About one hour tour from Place Terreaux up north to and through Croux Rousse. Gives a good overview of distances and most interesting sites. Stops for about 10 min. at one of...More
We looked all round the area for this but didn't realise it isn't a tram ! It is a little motorised "Dotto" type tour train, seen in many cities with towed little carriages. It goes every so often from the Town Hall square, right in...More

This would have been a lovely little trip but the tram was packed full and if you sit in the seats at the front of the car it is very cramped and so hot that it is like being in a greenhouse! In these seats...More
A lovely way to travel up the steep slopes of the Lyon hills and see the city from on high. The English commentary with its own personal headphones was informative without being too much for our children to listen to! We stopped at the huge...More

We got onto the last tour of the day using the Lyon City card. There was a lot of people waiting and it was a push and shove to get on. It took 15 mins before we were told that we should have given the...More

Excellent tour, seeing a part of the city that you wouldn't normally see due to narrow winding cobblestone streets.
Thoughtful driver who stopped for photo opportunities. Interesting, information packed audio narrative provided - with eclectic mix of french songs, appropriate for the occasion.
