Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've been here 3 or 4 times now and had fun. Played roulette and won a bit each time.
You need to show ID when you go in, never had to do that in the US.
Very small, not much happening, but you can pass a couple of hours. As others have commented, drinks have to be paid for.

Dear MikeLuana, Thanks for your comment about our casino. French regulations require clients to give us their ID for security. We hope to see you soon. Best regards.

A disappointing visit here. The building looks impressive and is well located, but the ground floor has very basic gambling machines and there are only a handful of tables upstairs for Blackjack and Roulette....And unlike every other casino I have visited, they still charge you for drinks while gambling. Best avoided unless feeding an addiction.

Amazing look from outside and feels a little exotic in terms of location, heritage etc. Inside not quite as grand as we expected, almost seaside amusements esc at points.

Thank god we got a free drink with the entry price. Seriously, this place seems to have been built simply to say the town has a casino!

There were two blackjack tables available; the first one was full but when we asked they wouldn't open the second due to not having enough staff on. There are two English roulette tables and one French roulette table. Most of the rest of the room seems to have been given over to slot machines. Maybe we didn’t go at the best time of the year but it was just very dull and no atmosphere at all.

It is a nice space but there are not many tables so it can be difficult to get a seat. We made some money playing Blackjack so I would call it an Excellent Experience.

The most depressing Casino we have ever visited. We spent less than 10 minutes here. The company that owns this place could be making thousands of euros more just by upgrading the machines and decor.

So with 17 business people, all with photo ID (driving licences, and over 30) you would have thought that they would see the potential spend. However, they would not let us in as we did not have passports (like you carry them everywhere…!?).
Their loss and what di*kheads…!

Chamonix is very pretty and the casino looked really quite picturesque, in the sunshine, set in the foreground against the mountains - I appreciated it for that in itself.

It is a very small casino, with some older slot machines. I did win something so maybe they are loose.
Maybe it is more fun at night. Bring your passport, they check your age.

Compared to the money and prestige surrounding Chamonix, I expected the casino to be a little more upmarket. They had a leak in the roof being collected by buckets to give some perspective.

Maybe the visitors don’t gamble much or are too busy skiing and dining but it was pretty small and old.

Reality is that if you want to gamble, you’ll go anyway hahaha
