The Château d'Annecy crowns the hill rising out of Vieux Annecy and delights the visitor with excellent views of the old city and the lake from inside the castle and along the walls. The view alone is worth the low price of admission, but the...More

A very nice little chateau, showing exhibitions. As a visitor, the view outside the towers overlooking the lake and the snowy alps is more attractive than the exhibitions.

I gave the Chateau d’Annecy four stars in comparison to other castles/museums in the area, but if comparing it to the other things to do in Annecy, I’d give it five stars. It was easily the most interesting thing my friends and I did there,...More

The Chateau d'Annecy is the museum in the small city of Annecy in the Southern part of France. It has a great collection of various forms of arts such as impressions and paintings and also has an amazing view of the city..!

Lovely restored French Castle above the old town of Annecy. A short walk from the town will get you to this impressive building. Houses a museum.

Nice little museum. Small exhibits of archaeology, ecology, Lake Annecy, etc. Has potential to be much better. Best thing about this museum are the views of the lake and downtown. First Sunday of the month is FREE from Oct to May. 10-12am, 2-5pm.

This is an excellent example of how to use historical buildings for contemporary purposes. The exhibitions here, on Annecy's past and present, including some interesting contemporary art spaces, are extremely thorough (such as the ethnography of perch), although most exhibitions are presented in French so...More

After a long steep climb from the old town of Annecy we were impressed with the size and magnificence of the old Chateau. The views from the building and the surrounding walls were superb. Where we were disappointed was inside the Chateau. There was some...More

The Castle and Annecy Museum is a great place to know about the history of this little city. The museum has quite good items of exibitions from the area. However, it is noticible that the lack of 2nd language next to French i.e 1st language...More
