This is definitely a great place to start your organization of what you want to do in the Annecy area if you haven't already done it prior to your trip, which I would recommend always that you do. We were just looking for some more obscure things that may not appear on T.A.

Lots of free maps, guides, and timetables. (Buses are actually clean, modern coaches, and an EXTREMELY cheap way of exploring !) Pick up the free "what`s on" guide for an itinerary of all local historical, cultural, sporting, and music events. Tip: The staff, whilst helpful, are reluctant to respond in English, so it is advisable to say (wheter true or... More

As Tourist Offices go, this one looked stark. There are few posters or maps up, and no real "self-serve" stands either. Yet when we were called to the desk, everything we needed was speedily provided: maps, brochures, recommendations, etc and all well explained. The level of English the staff had was probably the best we've found so far in over... More

Not difficult to find as signposted. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. Perfect English of course. Well worth making this your first port of call. Vital in a way, as it will save you time later.

I emailed them about arranging a walking historic tour of Annecy. The returned my email with the confirmation. One week before the tour they sent a reminder and asked for any last minute changes and sent me a map of the city.

Lake Annecy is a large, peaceful, and beautiful lake, it is feeling good and relax by walking at the lake side. It will be great to cycling around the lake if not raining.
