Beautiful place to walk. Some nice restaurants and a great looking place to have a drink. Great for an evening stroll

Vallon des Auffres is one of those places in Marseille where the hustle of the city dissappears, and the subsets from the other side of the road are spectacular!

Beautiful town under the bridge. I'd give the restaurants a pass as their are overly priced and the staff rude. There is a beautiful little swimming bay just on the other side of the bridge that can be accessed through the town, well worth a visit.

You can take the bus 83 and get off at the statue. Nice walk, first time when we visited it (4 years ago) there were no people, looked like a hidden gem, so silent and peacefull. Now, we were ther on a Sunday evening 2 days ago and it was full of people. Just sitting and having some wine, champagne...etc.... More

Take a walk around the around and soak in the atmosphere before having seafood in any of these restaurants, surely none will disappoint!

The Vallon des Auffes is a little traditional fishing haven in Marseille in the 7th arrondissement of Marseille. It is situated 2.5 km south-west of the Vieux-Port over the corniche Kennedy, between the Catalans beach and Malmousque bay. This little haven is constituted by over 50 fisher cabins and small traditional fishing boats.

Not as big as it looks on the pictures! Not too far away from the old port and a nice place to go and visit. If you want lunch get there early ( we couldn't find anywhere to eat at 230pm) locals sinking in the pool area and people paddle balding etc. Nice place to spend an hour or so.

we went to the vallon des auffres specifically to use the semi natural swimming pool, it was a bit of a rush as it was our last day, but it was so worth it. The pool is very sheltered from the swell of the sea. The area feel like an actual swimming pool rather than swimming in the sea, but... More

This village within the metropolitan area of Marseille is an old quaint fishing harbour featured in many old paintings. Difficult to drive to but access down old steps from main road above. Quite busy but used by locals. there is a good rRestaurant Chez Jeannot overlooking the harbour with excellent simple local food. Worth a visit.

In all the tourist books this little port is very quaint. I love the little colorful fishing boats that are more reminiscent of the little coastal villages than are the huge yachts. there is a restaurant here that we did not try but I was told by multiple people is very good.
