We were in Marseille in last Christmas and visited this place .We took Bus 83 from Port area for Prado and got down at some beautiful sea beach). While coming back, we got down at La Phero. It is a big open area, perfect for taking some rest with an amazing harbour view. There was a beautiful palace given to... More

The building itself is pleasant enough, but you need to come here to get the stunning view back across to the town

This impressive palace is so visible and we wanted to see it. It's quite a walk up to get to the palace but if you like walking it's a nice route. We arrived into the garden area, which is nice and cool, but not particularly impressive. We couldn't look around inside the palace (with presumably was a gift to Napoleon).... More

Visited here on a walk along the corniche. The Palace was shut, but the views are absolutely superb. Look back over the old port, out towards the Terraces du Port and towards Chateau If. Very nice park, with plenty of seating some toilettes (very dirty when we were there) and a small drinks stall.

A beautiful spot for a majestic building. The palace has been there since the 1800s and it occupies the perfect spot. The views alone are worth visiting this wonderful place.

Nice views of the city and sea front. On the way up to it, there was a cute merry go round- the kind you think of when you think of France. Beautiful palace.

The first stop on our tour there are great views of Marseille from here! it is now owned by the city and used for offices and functions but it has a cute little story to how it came to belong to the city which I won't spoil here

Just a short walk from the harbour. The open point/gardens give views of the harbour, the Cathedral, the large tour ships, the nearby islands, the Mediteranean and all the boats entering and leaving the harbour. My favourite place to sit, ponder and plan my next moves.
