Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tour du Fanal is a lighthouse. This Lighthouse was built in the middle of the 17th century in order to facilitate the guidance of merchant ships as they entered the harbour. It is quite photogenic and it certainly attracts the attention of visitors. It was supposed to be able to be seen by merchant ships from as far as twenty kilometres away! Today visitors can climb up and enjoy the panoramic views it offers on a sunny day.

Stunning castle walls well preserved that brings you back to the feudal times. History to show the kids. We drove around it and had an amazing view from the port and the beaches.

I very much like Fort St Jean. It has a great view of the port and itself has some things to explore.

Located on the furthest point of Fort St. Jean fortification, the 1644 Round Tower still stands after more than 350 years. In 1837, it was modified to include the addition of a lighthouse function. We will all need to wait for its reopening. Unfortunately, it is closed for the present time.
