Interesting ...we have a lot of time, if I did not this wouldn't be a priority. Villefranche sur mer is a lovely village.

You can easily spend an hour or two wandering around looking at the interesting sculptures, art gallery, views and various other interesting places within the citadel. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

We love this imposing structure and its repurposed use. The sculptures and garden are beautiful. The views, stunning! It would be wonderful to attend the outdoor concerts there in season.Very much worth a visit.

We went to see this 16th-century fortress, which has free admission. It is mostly art museums and administrative offices now, not many fort artifacts remain. It is worth seeing if you are in town and interested in art.

This citadelle is a mix of museums, offices and the city hall! The museum featuring the sculptures of Volti is amazing and well worth the visit.

Didn't expect much of this Citadelle but there were interesting rooms with sculptures and also outside sculptures. And many rooms and large grounds which were not evident from the outside.

We saw a lovely sculpture display by Voeti. The placement of the sculpture arount the citadelle was beautifully done. The garden and views where worth seeing as well.
