too expensive for the present time as the Riopelle exhibition is not worth visiting.
There is not so much to see at the foundation Maeght as we cannot walk through the garden (we can only look the outdoor statues from a trail) and inside, there is an important exhibition from Jean Paul Riopelle that show very dark art pieces that are not at the level of the regular pieces of the foundation). We were disappointed to pay 16 euros per person to see partly the foundation and mainly the Riopelle exhibition. Other Museums are more worth the pleasure to visit. In addition, in summer, it is very hot to walk through outside and even inside as air con does not function properly.

Probably a good place for modern art aficionados. We were attracted by the Chagall but disappointed to find only a very few… Pretty small on the inside but nicer on the outside though. The garden is nice and the building architecture interesting. There is a treat to enjoy the sun in a mild day or the restaurant. Keep the expectations down to the museum. Park in the overflow parking down as the main parking is on the smaller side.

    Disappointing experience
We visited on a beautiful day and so the views and setting of the building could be enjoyed. We were disappointed by many of the exhibits which were dull and uninspiring. There was quite a bit of building going on outside which made some areas less attractive. At 17 euros we felt the cost was high for what was offered and would not return.

The Maeght Fondation is very famous, so we wouldn’t miss it while visiting in Saint Paul de Vence.
It was a disappointment. Part of the art works were removed from the garden exhibit, and half the interior exhibition halls were closed. And they are closed for quite some time. It was one work from Marc Chagall, a couple of sculpture of Giacometti, Miró and a the works of a handful of other artists. The air inside the exhibition rooms was humid and stifled. No videos, no explanations, no guides, no professional staff around.
It was not worth the 11 euros entrance fee. Under these conditions the visit should be free.

It’s a real hike to get here from St Paul de Vence. Beautiful grounds but as for the ‘art’. 💥
Nothing that has any semblance to anything you might recognise. Wish they had some explanations on the plaques by the various words.
OK. I’m not renowned as an art lover! I just want to understand what I’m looking at and what the artist was thinking!

We absolutely loved this gallery. It is situated high on the hill above niece with the sea sparkling in the distance as you make your way through the Miro labyrinth. Don’t miss the tiny chapel on the way out.

Disappointing collection. I found the modern art collection underwhelming. Cafe closed. It’s a bit of an uphill walk from the main road.

A beautiful enclave in a beautiful location. There's a sculpture garden, a tiny chapel, and the museum itself---handsome (better than the photograph here), beautifully lit, comfortable in size and easy for circulation, good wall labels in French and English, altogether the best destination for art in the area.

beautiful museum near the lovely village of St Paul de Vence. A magical moment enjoying the building’s architecture and the art inside and in the garden.

Go if you love sculpture by Miró and Giacometti. Otherwise there’s not much to see. I think there were just 9 paintings in all. Off-season there wasn’t a temporary exhibition. Only 7 euros to get in, but absolutely didn’t fit my guidebook’s description of being one of the greatest art collections worldwide.
