All reviews beaulieu sur mer coastal path paloma beach great walk grand hotel easy stroll light house breathtaking views comfortable shoes tourist office military cemetery bus stop beautiful beach couple of hours sunny day french riviera peninsula
The peninsula is roughly shaped like a mitten, with a thumb and hand. The hike can be broken into 2 parts, hike the thumb, near Paloma beach, head east in a clockwise path, or the longer "mitt" around the tip of the peninsula past the...More
We walked around from Villefranche and found this walk - a great discovery! A narrow rocky track that wraps around the peninsula, not hilly fairly easy for all fitness levels. The western side is protected with calm waters and plenty of steps which lead from...More
While staying at the Grand-Hotel, I hiked the trail to Villefranche. It is a beautiful, well-maintained trial, although rugged. At times the drop-off was a bit notable. Lovely way to spend an afternoon, with great views.
As a regular visitor I can but echo the comments of everyone else-if you are fit and able,do this walk.No need for hiking shoes but decent trainers will protect feet in the areas that are more rock/pebble underfoot, and especially if you plan to descend to...More
This hike is a perfect beginner-intermediate hike (depending on where you are from). My recommendation: start on the part leaving the bus stop (the end of the line 81 coming from Nice) and walk past plage des fosses, past the light house. In other words,...More
To be honest I was expecting more of the nice views “Paloma Beach” type. Instead lots of rocks and sun, so make sure you have enough water and adequate, comfortable shoes. I enjoyed more the side with Paloma Beach and the Military Cemetery belge. You...More
We enjoyed this 2 hour hike around Cap Ferrat, we walked from the bus stop at Beaulieu Sur Mer, past the lighthouse on the end of the promontory, and finished at Passable beach on the other side, after which we walked up to St Jean...More
The hike takes 30 minutes but give yourself at least an hour to be able to capture the continuous breathtaking scenery. The trail is narrow and there are no guardrails so be very careful if hiking with small children. Loved the walk - if you’re...More
Great walk along water with views of beautiful villas, multi million yachts and the water! There are helicopters landing on yachts and at the villas, one of the most beautiful places in the world! If you are not into hiking go to one of the...More

Yes, that is the right bus and stop! I missed the stop and had to end up walking back. I didn't do the whole path but what I did was well marked(there are boards with different paths to take) and it took me right along the coast. I would get a map from your hotel(mine have me one for free) that way you can see where you are. Most important part you can get a unlimited travel pass for 5€!!!!! Just go to one of the bus stops in Nice and there will be a machine. The bus goes into the island a little near the port. If you want to stop the path early you would hve to walk there. There are other streets on the island. I would recommend looking up saint jean cap ferrat on google maps before you go. It's an easy way to look at the streets and main points. Check out the nice bus website lignesdazur for bus info. If you hve more questions let me know! I also went solo and had a great time!
