I visited on a sightseeing trip organised by the Patrimoine de Nice. The history is very interesting and we were shown around the lovely old opera house making me want to go and see a performance there. So later when the Piaf concert was performed...More

We attended one of only four performances of Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, and both the way it was staged, the cast, including the choir, the conductor and the orchestra performed at their very best. We bought our tickets on the day the general sale opened, and was...More

All of the events we have attended at this Nice Opera have been great. Earlier this season we attended a ballet, which was awesome. We found this Sunday concert series on the Opera website and were pleasantly surprised that tickets were only 8 euro. The...More

Treated to Carmen at the Opera in Nice. Wonderful performance, but sadly could not stay for the second part because the seating was unbelievably uncomfortable. Probably the worst I have ever experienced. Possibly ok for a short legged teenager, but not for a retired, medium...More

Great building and good acoustics but do NOT sit in one of the top two levels. There are not seats, just benches which are extremely uncomfortable and have NO leg room, even if you are 5'4. Besides that, they move you over and squish you...More

Casual chic is fine although there were men in suits and women very formally dressed. I wore black trousers and a nice black top with a fancy scarf I could use for warmth or as an accessary.
