The old city in Nice has very much to offer with its narrow streets, many cafes, galleries and so on. Among our favourites is to buy fresh pasta in one of the small pasta shops (the ravioli avec truffé is excellent), fresh lamb and/or chicken...More

Small but there are many streets and it's quite easy to get a little lost. There are lots of stores and places to eat.

Old Nice, with its 18th century buildings, has been restored to look almost new and like a stage set. Walk further, away from the beach and tucked below the street level of the boulevard, there is the old old Nice, with its preserved in state...More

It is a nice town to wander through. Buildings are interesting to look at. Views of the water are great.

Great place to eat and stroll. Lots of eateries, colorful shops, interesting market, close to promenade, beautiful buildings and a real European atmosphere!

Staying 4 nights: where is an affordable lodging (central Nice) area for 2 adults with easy access to car rental (is that at train station?) walk or bus to train station area? What can we expect an Uber to cost to go from central area to Chagall museum? Is it walkable (downhill?) to return from Chagall Museum? Ideas for day drive outside of Nice (but not Monaco area) Thanks!
