Worth the trip!

Small, but moving museum, with some of his most interesting works and stained glass on display. Great if you can catch a concert in the auditorium.

I am a Chagall fan, and was surprised to see that the museum was very modern and calm. There was a great (free) audioguide and I loved the openness of the rooms.

Marc Chagall was a renowned Russian born (1887) painter who lived in France and this museum is in honour of him. The museum itself isn't too big, but shows a fine collection of Marc Chagall's artworks. You are allowed to take photos of the inside of the museum and the artworks. There's a little 'café' outside in the garden, to... More

You need to go to this amazing small gallery. If you're in Nice, please don't miss it, and don't go on Tuesday because its closed for R & R that day - always! The musee is a wonderfully displayed collection of Chagall's fascinating, riveting paintings of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ! Chagall was a Jew, originally from Russia and moved... More

I was unaware that ID was needed in order to use the audio tour. That's ok, but the woman at the audio tour desk was extremely rude. She snapped "passport?" I said I didn't have it with me & began to search my bag to check if I had my driver's licence. Without waiting she then barked "no passport -... More

Wonderful paintings if you like Chigall's style (I do). It isn't a large museum of his works but well worth the trip. It is also a barging as our family of five was €12. They have an audio tour but you can download the app and get the same thing for the adult tour (the children's tour isn't in the... More

I found myself in Cannes for a weekend, prior to spending a week on business, and was more than a little frustrated that I couldn't be home with my family. But what to do? Since I was there, I didn't want to waste my time. I'd heard that Marc Chagall had, as a long time resident of the area, made... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our taking in of this museum. The paintings, mosaics and tapestries were glorious. Highly recommend the audio guide as the commentary was helpful. Beautiful neighborhood surrounding the museum as well.

At first we thought we had made a mistake, but we sat down close to the door to rest for a while and people just kept coming and going, no one really understanding why the museum was closed. Apparently it's a very common mistake... It seems the website doesn't contain this information; their Facebook page does, but only if you... More
