Main drag

This is the main drag in Nice. It has lots of great shops and restaurants. Also is a dedicated pedestrian street, and the tram runs along here.

This street became the main shopping area of Nice. It has a new light train for rapid transportation. This area is not pleasant at night, during daytime it offers a wide selection of shops, and the Nicetoile mall offers a number of shops and fast food.

It's well worth the effort to walk the length of Avenue Jean Medicin as this is where you see the "real residents of Nice". The street is a shopper's paradise with stores ranging from pricy boutiques to shops with reasonable prices, and dozens of specialty stores. The district close to the train station is grim but along the avenue proper... More

This is a great place to spend a bit of time. There are lots of things to see and bars and cafes where you can listen to street musicians and people watch. There seems to be a friendly and 'laid back' atmosphere all round the area.

Me and my mum went here looking for good shopping but we both came to the same conclusion: we have the same stores at home in Stockholm and the prices are also the same as at home. Personally, we prefered the smaller shops with a more personal touch that can be found around the city.

Right near the beach and all the great tourist stuff. I could spend several days here and not get bored.

Starting close to the always a bit shoddy streets of the railway station and ending at the magnificent place Massena passing Galleries Lafayette and the main cathedral this street has all, good and bad, but more good than bad, impossible to avoid when in Nice

Checked out in May 2912 while in Nice for the day after walking down the promenade. Looked at a few menus, patisserie, and club Monaco here. The floor of the square is black and white tiles. Reminded me of Alice in wonderland. Very nice to walk in this area on a sunny day. Didn't spend lots of time here, but... More

Bisected by the main trolley line and served by numerous busses this monumental square is as downtown as you can get. Even into the evening when it is lit by glowing sculptures throngs of people are coming or going to the adjacent sites A few blocks to the west, the legendary riviera hotels. To the north, the main shopping street,... More
