The tour was amazing and our tour guide had only started 2 weeks ago and he did so well. All questions answered with thought and care. Although we left feeling very disappointed as the manager rushed everyone to leave the chapel even though it was chucking it down outside. This quite literally dampened the mood and was not very considerate. We spent money on the tour and stayed after for a bottle of wine so the rushed exit felt unfair.

Since I am in France I expected to see much much more. In my country (Serbia) which is far away smaller country, 99% of winery is better then this one. They dont even have place to seat, order some food (ham, cheese or some) to have it while trying some wines… Big disappointment…

My new husband and I visited this vineyard, as you simply can't come to France without such an experience.
We were very impressed with our welcome (in english)and our time to walk around the vineyard ourselves. We took some amazing photos and had a lovely few minutes to ourselves.
The wine tasting was very informative and we were given plenty of time to enjoy and savour each of the 4 wines we choose to taste.
Again our tour was in English and we were very greatful. The value for money was perfect and we were offered an additional glass of our favourite wine while we waited for our taxi to arrive.
We can't recommend this place enough for their personal touch and warm welcome.

I am not necessarily a big wine drinker, but my sister is and we were looking for things to do in Nice or close to Nice. We googled wineries in the area and this was the first to pop up. We had an amazing time here! First, you get to tour the vineyard and see all the grapes. There are some amazing views of the city and mountains. You can take your time walking around and taking pictures. After, you get to taste the wines. The guides were great and spoke English pretty well. The cost is 20€ per person and it was well worth it! The wines are delicious. As I said, I'm not really a wine drinker, but the wines were really great. The chapel is beautiful and it was overall just an amazing experience. The wines to purchase are decently priced (15€ and up). If you're interested in alcohol at all, this is a great place to visit! Because you can tour the vineyard, I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The vineyard is on a hill.

First ever visit to a vineyard. We took bus 62 from Nice and then a short walk to the vineyard. Really friendly guide, peaceful environment, small vineyard, great wine and a place worth visiting if you travel to Nice.

After seeing the good reviews on trip advisor we decided to visit the vineyard. We caught the number 62 bus from the promenade beside to Hard Rock Cafe and it was about a 20 minute journey up the mountain before you get off at chemin saquier. From the stop take the right just before it and follow the road round, it's about a 10/15 minute walk.
The vineyard is in a stunning setting with epic views all around. There is a gorgeous chapel with stain glass windows and a crypt for doing the wine tasting. The tour starts off in the vineyard, then into the more recently built building where they make the wine and ends in the chapel for tasting. Our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable, we got on very well with him. The wines aren't cheap but they are tasty so we did buy a bottle to take home.
Definitely make the trip out, it's worth it and is a lovely way to spend an afternoon whilst on the Côte d'Azur

Château de Bellet is well worth the trip from Nice. I have never been to a winery where they actually let you walk around the vineyard, let alone one with this spectacular of a view. The wine tasting takes place in the chapel, which makes for a unique experience.
I recommend taking an uber or taxi up to the winery. It would be a quite the trek from the bus!

My husband and I were in Nice for our honeymoon and we wanted to explore a bit so I researched some wineries in the area. Chateau de Bellet came up numerous times as a great place with the BEST views. It lived up to its reviews. The views were endless! Luckily, we got there just in time for a tour and we were able to see the grounds, the church and have a wine tasting with 2 roses and 2 whites. Nice, France is not really known for ubers, so that was a bit difficult. We had to wait in the church for 30 minutes for an uber to come and pick us up, but luckily they offered their WiFi code and the weather was beautiful so waiting around really wasn't the worst thing.

I tasted a delicious glass of this local red wine in our hotel in Nice (La Perouse) and immediately loved it. Even before the wonderful black cherry and pepper aroma I could see the adequate legs suggesting this was most full bodied sample. The concierge told me what local bus to get to see the vineyard (No 62) and off I went. A problem! When I debussed I had not any idea where to go next. I fiddled a bit with Google earth but luckily met up with two others looking for the same vineyard/winery and we eventually found it in an absolutely stunning location.. Accurate signposting would have been a huge help. I was amazed at how small (I think only about 8 acres in all) the vineyard was and was most impressed by it being fully organic. There followed an excellent conducted tour of the vines and description of the most modern methods employed there and of course the most beautiful oak barrels. A wine tasting of three of the wines followed. A 100% Roulle which to my taste was perfect, a Roulle with added Chardonnay (just a little) not quite as fresh and the red I had enjoyed so much the night before - very good - but really requires some good food accompanying it. I did not manage to taste the rose but my colleagues inferred it was too strawberryish. A bottle of red purchased and then a trek back to the bus but a really superb afternoon.

Took bus 62 from Nice ("Massenet" outside Hard Rock Cafe). Buy your one way ticket from the bus driver at €1.50 (cash). Journey is 45mins.
Google walking map after dropping off at Chemin Saquier is not accurate. As there is no clear walking signage, "lookout" for the chapel roof as you follow your google map and head toward the direction where your eyes can see.
It was very quiet. Perhaps it's still low season. I pretty much have the entire estate to myself. They allowed me to roam freely around the vineyard.
Wine tasting €20 is only available in the afternoon at 2,3&4pm. I was there at 11am so couldn't add much to that. Despite that, the lady was nice enough to pour me 2 different white vintages. I bought Baron G which exudes an interesting & complex taste. I also bought the more expensive La Chapelle which was not available for tasting due to its limited quantities.
The return trip is pretty much the reverse of how you got there.
The rest is history. Enjoy your trip!
ps. There is no cafe or vending machines to buy coffee or water. Make sure you have your breakfast and bring a bottle of water.

Hi Carmen. We didn't book, just turned up but tours are on the hour. We arrived at 3.50 in time for the 4pm tour. It wasn't busy and we were just two - very personal tour to say the least. 20 euros each and 3 tastes of their beautiful wine. Bottles are expensive but worth it. Enjoy.

Dear Chateau de Bellet,
Bonjour!! Je m'appelle monsieur Xavier Hui, from Hong Kong. I will lead a tour for 6 people (including me). We will be Nice on next Sunday 21,May.2017 for 4 days. We would like to arrange a wine tour on Monday 22, May or Tuesday 23, May (depends on your business hour opening). Here's my questions and may need your help.
1. We will stay at the hotel Negresco, we can start the moving after breakfast by 9:30am on Monday. May I know what is the best way to reach Chateau de Bellet? And how to return to the Nice Town?
2. As they are the business man and woman, they would like to purchase the wine from you, do you provide the price list? What's the best recommendation of the wine you have? So I can introduce to them.
3. Do you have wine tasting tour? What is the price for tasting?
4. Do you offer lunch? If so, I can arrange the lunch at Chateau de Bellet. What is the charge for the foods / menu?
5. Do you have whatsapp or WeChat? So we can keep communication when I arrive at Nice.
Merci Beaucoup!! Xavier
