About
A casino by the see On one side stand the orange trees, exotic flowerbeds and fountains of the Jardins de Biovès. On the other, the two-mile Baie du Soleil beach, an ideal setting for a Games paradise. Palm trees, archways and Art Deco architecture with Moorish influences will draw you in, and the large carved chessboard of the façade is echoed on the black and white lobby floor. The palatial entrance and baroque-style nightclub contrast with futuristic atmosphere and contemporary lighting. Casino Barrière Menton is good at shaking things up. Now it’s up to you to roll the dice. With Black Jack, English Roulette and Slot Machines, as well as terrace dining and drinking at the bar, there’s plenty to choose from.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The bar is located with a nice view over the sea. The bar is without walls therefore you can see the Casino without going into it.

The Casino itself had a major overhaul in 2015. You eat well at the restaurant in the Casino, the chef is excellent and creative, food is well presented, tastes delicious and is usually enough for a normal diner - but not someone used to eating huge portions. Service is friendly too; this is a good local restaurant in the Art Deco style with a pleasant atmosphere. Price/quality is very good. Those wanting fancy-schmanzy surroundings, elegance & high prices had best go elsewhere, as they will be disappointed in Menton which is low key. And if you wish, you can go play at the tables or slots after dinner. Certainly no comparison with Vegas, Atlantic City, Monaco, etc., but a pleasant place to dine and enjoy an evening (note: to gamble you need an ID)

After winning 30 euros at the casino we said to ourselves that the Yacht in the Bay would be short, so we went to eat at the casino restaurant.
The room is 3/4 empty but the head of the room sticks us to the table which adjoins the kitchen and therefore a lot of coming and going….
We say to ourselves, well, we're 30 euros rich, it doesn't matter. But still a little nervous, I ask the young waiter (very friendly) to open the automatic door which opens onto the terrace for me to smoke a cigarette.
Returning, the door takes 18 seconds and 3 tenths to close. And then the head of the room (and incidentally a specialist in customer placement) comes out and yells in the room at this poor waiter that it's not possible, that the customers are going to be cold, that besides, we just have to look at the customer (and there he looks at a customer who had not asked for anything) from this table to see that he is borderline hypothermic (so here we are still in Menton eh, in case some people think that we have made a sure jump the ice floe…) and patati et patata.
So me in the middle of all this very uncomfortable for the server and the customers.
Needless to say, if I had been served caviar on the menu, it would have had a very bitter taste. But I had a very decent tartare, I say it out of respect for the cook who couldn't do anything about it.
So this is the only big memory of the restaurant. Because of a manager who has no idea of the word "customer", we are not left with a great experience of this restaurant.
Too bad, because the rest of the staff were very friendly and I think they deserve better.

First things first the website was incredibly misleading. We were led to believe that there were at least a few tables to bet on. When we arrived we were disappointed to see that practically the entire place was full of machines. Poor drinks. Would not return.

In past years the casino itself had a poor staff - recently this has improved and Barriere have finally understood that it costs nothing to greet imbecile clients ready to lose their money with a basic ' Bon Soir '. Having said that the miniskirted girls serving in the restaurant could please male visitors.
The machines are quite out of date & you will rarely hear a roar of excitement.

I had been looking forward to dining in the Casino Restaurant, because it looked so nice. It was a very, very poor meal. I thought we would never get out of the restaurant.

We went to this Casino really to have a look around after dinner as we're strolling along the seafront and we're told you needed some type of photo I'd passport or photo driving licence which we didn't have with us as there is nothing outside to say what is required until you get inside and up to security. We thought we would give it a try a few days later before flying home and found it really disappointing. We got in at around 9.30pm where security swipe your passports to allow entry. Despite the size of the building the casino appears quite small inside. There are a lot of slot machines that swallow your money (min 10€ for 20 spins) or you can quit and get a paper token to cash in. There was also an electronic roulette machine with about 10-12 people playing that was fascinating as some of the playsrs didn't appear to be too interested if they won or lost. There was what I would call proper roulette and black jack tables and only one person playing where minimum stakes start at 5€ up to 350€. At just after 10 the queues trying to get in were quite large and the place doubled in less than 15 mins. Needless to say we're aren't gamblers and sounds of people winning with coins crashing down into the trays or people losing was just not there. As winnings are dispensed by a printed paper token luckily we walked away with a little more than when we went in. But will not go back.

What a sad little casino. Europeans turn down the volume on the machines so it's very quiet inside. There's no energy or fun vibe. The machines are from at least a decade old. No cocktail waitresses with free drinks. Europeans don't like to gamble. It's a holdover mentality from World War 2 and hence they all work really hard and don't want to frivolously part with their money. Mentone has zero nightlife. Besides dinner, there's nothing to do. We drove to Monaco and hung out at the Yacht Show.

Nice from the outside, nice inside but small. The atmosphere was lacking, creepy guests made for an uncomfortable experience. Didn't even hang around to play, was going to have a quick drink but was even deterred from that.
