Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Night time noise until 4 am is completely out of control. We visited July 21 and August 21, staying in different central apartments and have been woken over several nights on each visit. We have been coming here for over 10 years and this has never happened before. Shouting at top of voices and drums (!). This only benefits the owners of two bars. Dont stay in Juan les Pins until the authorities get this sorted.

Why does this beach have such high ratings? We went there and actually drove away in search of somewhere else. It is a narrow strip of sand right next to a main road and CROWDED to the point of virtually no space on the sand. Some of the photos here are misleading (probably taken in winter!). Given Covid, it's a hotspot to pick something up from the strangers that will be sitting virtually on your towel. I recommend the beaches closer to St Tropez, like those around La Croix-Valmer instead. Far bigger, better sand, less crowded.

Come early if you want to secure a spot for your family near the water. The beach is very busy - but clean.
The sand and the water is absolutely amazing 😎

What a terrible shame all the main beaches have shut and are boarded up. After 50 years of travelling here it is decimated. Quite a few shops are shut and restaurants, and there was sewage in the sea. It is supposed to be part of a redevelopment that is on hold. So sad - if you are travelling to JLP this summer 2024 be aware. I truly hope they sort something out the place is so loved by so many.

as the description says, it was heaving with people.
A french family let their child (about 5 or 6 years of age) deficate in the water and it just floated around until it washed up on the beach.
When I complained to them about it, they got racist and had a go at me for being a foreigner...
There are planty of nice beaches (Sallis / Garouppe etc) why ever go to the one in JLP?

As a disclaimer, what.s following is probably biased. This place grew on me in just couple of years so much that when I think of home I think of Juan Les Pins and not where I live the rest of the year.
If we are just the sum of memories than the moments spent here are such a big part of it. Might be because of the beauty the Juan Les Pins is. Might be the smile and common sense on of the people here like the lady that serves you the baguette and croissants in the morning or the neighbours of your airbnb rented apartment. Or maybe is that "Bonjour Andrei!", that effort to remember your name after just one day spent on their beach, be that Yolo, Epi, La Plage, etc.
But the last but not least... man, is the air here, the breeze that comes from the sea and fills your nose with that salty air, it.s about the nights you sleep with the windows wide open and hear the waves.

I won.t talk about the food, the fine dinning, the infinite sensorial experience that wine can offer you here... I mean this is France!!!

Juan Les Pins is also a great location to stay if you like to move around the Riviera. It.s kind of in the middle of all the good stuff. Nice, Monaco and Menton on one side, Cannes and Saint Tropez on the other side. One-two hour drive and you.re in Apt, Isle sur la Sorgue, Aix en Provence, Grasse, Saint Paul du Vance, Gourdon, etc.

There is so much to say about this place but I risk getting boring.

So, to be continued:)

In his song 'Where do you go to my lovely', Peter Sarstedt sings 'When you go on your summer vacation, you go to Juan les Pins'. My only question is why? The beach there is pathetic. Ok, so I come from Australia where there are literally hundreds of better beaches that don't even have names but seriously, this thin strip of sand carpeted with umbrellas, towels, lounges and bodies is a joke. I suppose beggars can't be choosers but the whole Riviera is so overpriced, overrated and over it that it might be an idea to bulldoze everything west of Menton (including Monaco) all the way to Marseilles and start again.

It's a very small beach, so by 11, there is no place to even put a towel. If you want a spot near the water, it's best to get there early (around 9 am) or later in the afternoon around 3ish.
If you are in Juan, take the white train at the cost of 8 euros and it will take you to cap d'antibes, the beaches and shopping there are better. There you will see the Picasso museum too.

Living in France for 5 years I feel sorry for the tourists who cram onto the Juan les pins beach, OK, so the shops and cafes are close by, but if you want tranquility and clear water, it is worth walking a bit further out to the coves and beaches of the cap d antibes such as Plage des Ondes and Garoupe, or the even quieter but rockier coves on the coastal trail round the cap. Take a bag with some water, sandwich and you will have your own little paradise! There are also not enough toilets on the Juans beach.

Juan les Pins Main Beach is a long narrow white sandy beach with crystal clear blue water, but it is on a busy road.
There is plenty to do there swim, sunbake, water sports or sit in a café or restaurant on the waterfront.
