Big square where everyone seems to gather, packed cheek by jowl with cafés. Fun for people watching. Great architecture all around you.

Good place to sit down for a glass of something or a small lunch dish. Reasonable prices, good service.

This place is why I like European cities. They always has a pedestrian area in city centre. You can enjoy a good meal here, visit the Opera Threater, City Hall etc. or just absorb the area before deciding where to explore next.

I don't know what more to say about this, it's a square with a big clock. The marie is next door, there are a lot of restaurants in the middle. I imagine it would be very crowded in the summer. Late September it was fine.

Square fairly adjacent to the papal palace. Beautiful space flanked by lovely buildings including the city hall and the opera. Lots of restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. Quite nice.
