The Palais des Papes is very interesting for histori-philes and those who just like Renaissance castles. The French Popes lived here when the Papacy was in France. For eleven euros one may climb through history in a series of grand rooms reserved for the Roman pontiff and his curia. For a few more euros (or for a combined price), one... More

If you are in Avivnon, you must visit the Pope's Palace. Extremely interesting architecture and history.

You need a couple of hours to get round this beautiful building. Definitely take the audio guide, you would lose a lot of the details of the place without it.

A typical gothic designed church which serves the vicinity. We did took some pictures outside. The architecture is very typical of the churches in the area. As the title suggest, we were there for a quick snap of pictures and were out in a few minutes

Pope's Palace (Palais des Papes) is surely worth a visit, count to spend 2+ hours here. I recommend you to take audio guide becaue you would receive a lot of interesting information, everything is well signed inside the palace and you could listen certain facts just moving from one sign to another.
