This is where Van Gogh spent some time being treated. It's no longer a hospital and is kind of somber and sad. There are several touristy gift shops just at the front. Just as an aside, I found Arles to be the least charming of...More

A highlight of my visit to Arles was going to the 16th century building that served as the city's main hospital for over 400 years. Here the great artist van Gogh was committed for several months during one of his mental breakdowns after cutting off...More

Take a walk around the beautiful gardens with the knowledge this place aided Van Gough following his ‘loss’. It’s a stunning place not to be missed on a visit to Arles

This is a beautiful space relates well to Van Gogh's painting. All the gift shops are a little overwhelming, but still worth the visit.

It is difficult to find its entry. We walk around there for 30 minutes. Inside is quiet and beautiful as 100 years ago. It is surprised that the photo we take is almost the same as the Van Gogh's painting.

Van Gogh created three paintings here while he recovered after having cut off his ear. The most recognized is of the garden and the two others were the communal ward and one of his doctors. The garden is colorful and evocative especially when you stand...More

The best thing about this place is that you really feel close to Van Gogh here. There is a reproduction of a painting he did placed at the view where he was standing, and it still looks like it did over a hundred years ago....More

If you like flowers, then you definitely need to get to this place. The area is small, but it has secluded corners, where you can hide in the shadows away from tourists. A lot of bright colors on the background of the yellow walls of...More

It is a good life experience to visit a place that you seem in a painting. In this case, from a very famous one. They did a very good job keeping the place up. Worth the visit.

The garden is pretty and planted with a good variety of colourful plants still looking like it does in the vincent painting. Nice place to sit although there a few shops down one side. But a must see for any VG fans
