We stumbled on this beautiful cloister quite by accident as it looks very unremarkable from the square. Added bonus was that it was free entrance as it was Heritage Day in France It is currently being renovated and there are clear explanations of the works...More

I have visited here several times to see photo exhibitions. This location is really worth a vibist at any time. It is living history and a beautiful lace to sit and enjoy the cloister.

Lots of renovation going on but worth a visit. Be sure to look for a small room with a short film playing non-stop of the history of the place and what to look for. We found ourselves going back to see things they referenced in...More

Just wish the restoration was done. Have been there twice, once in 2012 and once in 2014 and was hoping the restoration would have been done in 2014 but unfortunately, they were still working on the cloister. Wonderful columns, providing amazing pictures.

I live here, outside of Arles. There are touristic places I avoid and tour fees I refuse to pay. Many tourists stop at St. Trophime because its facade is a UNESCO site and entrance is free. The entrance to the cloister is inside the church,...More

These cloisters were a real high point of our time in Arles. The architecture is really beautiful, and the story of the restoration is interesting--don't miss the short film. The statues were especially captivating--each figure expressed so much individuality!

Well worth a visit to see some excellent carvings on the columns etc but the restoration work detracts somewhat and is very noisy.

Didn't love the city of Arles, but I am so glad I visited this cloister. Such beautiful work, and even if there was some restoration work going on, it did not take anything away from the visit.

Beautiful Romanesque architecture – checkout the sculptures over the portal especially the Last Judgment.. this is close to the open markets, walking distance to the Amphitheatre and the Obélisque d'Arles
