Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very interesting statue of the great Paul Cezanne. It is located at the Place de la Rotonde, and is near the Fontaine de la Rotonde. It is a life-sized statue and as a visitor you might feel like going up close to greet the artist. Worth a stop.

We enjoyed several hours here. No bad the lights are not on at night. I understand only at Christmas are they on.

It is neither a big statue nor a beautiful one. It is dark and not iluminated at night. It is located at the beginning of Cours Mirabeau

The first contact with the city is the fountain de la Place de la Rotonde and the big statue of the famous painter Paul Cezanne.
We visited the place in beautiful summer day which added to the charm of the town.

Cezanne is a personal hero of mine. It is likely he at some time stood in this very spot admiring the Rotonde. The life size bronze statue viewed at eye level, gives the illusion of having viewed the great man in a private moment

The statue is in front of the tourist information office. The best time to take a photo is in the morning.

The statue is in an odd location, but it is a must-do in Aix-en-Provence. Good for a quick photo stop.

We were nearing the end of our morning in Aix en Provence and our tour group had been given some free time to wander through the town by ourselves. We had crossed the very busy roundabout which is home to the Fontaine de La Rotonde and found ourselves in a large open plaza next to the tourism centre.
It was here that we came across this fine bronze statue of Paul Cezanne. It was a Saturday and there were many visitors in the town. This area appeared to have attracted many of the visitors and there was a queue of people waiting to have their photograph taken posing next to this fine statue.
An impressive statue which is located in a prominent position in the town. Easy to find and well worth a visit!

Aix is all about Cézanne, and he stands outside the Tourist Office near the Rotonde. He draws many people taking photos.
