After leaving St Tropez, we drove to Provence and decided to stay at this beautiful chateau. The weather was horrid the day we arrived and not knowing the area Google Maps directed us via the back entrance. It took a little while to eventually find the hotel reception. So if you’re driving be mindful of this. The reception staff were exceptional, gave us a tour of the property (even though it was very wet). There was ample parking available near our room which was beneficial given the weather. Our room was just beautiful and immediately wished we had of been staying longer than just one night. I can honestly say the bed in our room was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The next morning , I did not want to get out! Our room catered for all the amenities we needed. We decided to have dinner in the La Source restaurant. Have to say this was an extreme let down. The staff spoke very little english and didn’t really seem interested in assisting with the translation of the French menu. The food we did order was not great and barely palatable. Yet very expensive. The restaurant was busy, and the service was very poor. It seemed all the staff were far more interested in serving locals than Australian hotel guests. The next morning I was hesitant to have breakfast in the same hotel, however it was a much nicer experience. Guess it’s breakfast is a much easier menu to provide to hotel guests. I would definitely recommend this beautiful property for accommodation if you’re in the area. I’d just be aware of the restaurant choice you make.

We had a fantastic time wine tasting and exploring the grounds. The som was fantastic, very knowledgeable and very nice, even gave us a small tour of the wine production room. We then walked around the beautiful grounds, will absolutely be back to try the food!

We enjoyed a fabulous experience on property. We started with a private wine tasting w Elliott. Dinners were beyond great! Amazing food, presentation and a vast wine list. We especially enjoyed the pool and spa facilities too! Shout out to Antwone @ the pool. Breakfast service was the weakest part of the day.

Enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Room 10 on this amazing domaine. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The manicured grounds were dreamy. Vineyards, hedges, lavender, wildflowers, stonework. The pool was beautiful. Wine was excellent and presented in a classy stmosphere. The tapas and the gastronomic restaurant were perfect. Bed was big and comfortable, and the rooms are modern and up to date. Ours had 2 levels with 1.5 baths, and even though close to the breakfast area, it was quiet. Thank you Aaron, Pauline, Antoine, Anna, Andre, and the entire staff!

We received a warm welcome on our arrival. Our room was modern and clean. The gardens are stunning. We had consistently great food at each meal. The Japanese restaurant was excellent. The staff all round were very pleasant and helpful, especially Louis the pool manager. We really enjoyed the terrace bar in the evenings with its lovely atmosphere and beautiful setting.

My wife and I stayed at Château de la Gaude for a couple of nights during our vacation in France. The château itself is stunning, and the rooms are beautifully designed, retaining the charm of the historic building. There are four restaurants on-site, including Le Art, which is an incredible dining experience you shouldn’t miss if you have the chance. The hotel’s location is ideal, just 10-15 minutes from the city center. Room service is quick, which is always a plus. However, we did have a few concerns with other services. Our room had an issue with the A/C, which wasn’t resolved despite mentioning it several times, causing my wife to have a poor first night due to the room being too warm. Additionally, the housekeeping service fell short—there was no replacement coffee, and some dead insects remained in the corners of the room. For a hotel of this caliber, this is disappointing. Lastly, the Internet service was problematic. I couldn’t get it to work on one of my devices, even after trying various solutions like restarting and forgetting the network. That being said, I would still recommend this place, particularly for events or larger groups, as the setting is truly beautiful.
