Very nice historic street. Located next to the old city. Lots of shops and cafes, etc. A nice walking street; however, it is quite busy.

A mini champs elysee nicely shaded by the platanes and with good restaurants and big name shops. For us it was marred by the incredible amount of litter and bird poo.

Most historic sites are open especially tourist destinations. It's very much like 4th of July so mostly a business holiday, some museums may be closed so check ahead with the local Bureau de tourisme
