Very nice historic street. Located next to the old city. Lots of shops and cafes, etc. A nice walking street; however, it is quite busy.

Be sure to wander around the market on this lovely walking street. They feature specialty items like scarves, baskets, soaps as well as a myriad of fresh produce, cheese and charcuterie. It is not daily so be sure you check out the wonderfully displayed merchandise....More

The nicest street of Aix en Provence. You can find a part of traditional Provence place with a lot of bars and restaurants

This was a great day trip from Marsaille for some strolling through the medieval town and grand mansions to see finely carved wooden doors everywhere. A rampart not unlike La Ramblas in Barcelona is in the middle with lots of shops, cafes and gelaterias. Not...More

A mini champs elysee nicely shaded by the platanes and with good restaurants and big name shops. For us it was marred by the incredible amount of litter and bird poo.

One of the most beautiful places in the country to take a walk with the family, seasonal times he square is amazing and the local councils go out of there way to decorate

Most historic sites are open especially tourist destinations. It's very much like 4th of July so mostly a business holiday, some museums may be closed so check ahead with the local Bureau de tourisme
