Starts with a tour of the remains of the historic palace of cognac followed by the usual explanation of how cognac is made and the tasting. Also the museum which is interesting too. We did the XO tasting - which was worth it and the...More

The trip through the cellars and the distillery was very interesting. The guide spoke excellent English and gave a thorough explanation as we went along. There are spiders in the cellars but they are all drunk from the fumes so are no problem. The architecture...More

This was the main chateau in Cognac and became the home of Otard Cognac. The tour is very impressive mixing a history tour with tastings. The tour goes via medieval times, the birth place of the then future King of France - Francis 1st, through...More

A 1 hour tour of the castle where Francois premier was born, followed by a good explanation of how Cognac is produced and a visit to the underground storage cellars of the Otard Cognac. It is worth your money.

The building is full of history and the tour covers all the important periods. The Cognac bit gives a good basic amount of information, but if you have any knowledge already the Hennessy tour is probably more appropriate.More

Thank you for your comment. The tour of the Château covers both the History of the Royal Château and the know-how related to Baron Otard Cognacs production, that’s why you may have perceived that the Cognac part is quite “basic”. We try to keep this...More

The tour comprises two parts, one is a tour of the castle, the other is of the cellars. The guide was great, spoke very good English and gave a really good lesson on the history of the castle. The castle has quite an amazing history...More

We visited here because of the history surrounding the place and we weren't disappointed. Our tour guide was excellent and spoke perfect English. There is a lot of history prior to it becoming a cognac house and she managed to ensure we got the full...More

We found the historical aspect of this Chateau equally as interesting as learning about Cognac production. Our tour guide spoke excellent english, and was only too happy to answer any questions. Tastings at the end were excellent.

Dear Paul, it actually depends on the seasons and busyness in cognac. I know that all guides speak English (as they are prohibited to do both tours). To ensure yourself give them a call +33545368886
