An island in the River Erdre, easily accessible by No2 tram from the city centre. Pleasant Japanese style gardens and buildings. A Japanese tourist might think they were a bit scruffy, but they were fine for us while we waited for the boat trip up...More

Very near the city center you can find this small island, interesting mini-museum inside. It's a nice place to also just sit back and relax in the nature.

I visited the park in a clidy day, however, this was so beatiful and quet, really worth visiting and just strolling lovely park areas, full of stunning plants. I was really impressed, though the park is not quite large.

This garden really looks like a Japanese one even with banzai trees. It is nice to walk trough the paths of this little garden on the island.

I was there in October and the autumn leaves were lovely. It has a pond with fat grey cap in, and many pine trees and rocks.

We had read that this was a small garden, but as hubby is a bonsai gardener, he wanted to see, so we trekked over there while touring Nantes. I would say that we were both terribly disappointed, not in the size (which is TINY), but...More
