Admittance to the chateau and gift shop are free, and one can walk around the ramparts and enjoy the view in all directions. The chateau is very close to the train station, so one can easily visit the chateau while waiting for the next train....More

This is a very imposing historic building in the heart of Nantes with a local history museum. We also visited the temporary Viking exhibit which was very interesting. A must see in Nantes

Just walk the free battlements walk and take in the history! The Chateau has changed roles over the years from a castle to a residence. The walk around the tours is great as is the walk around the moat - a must
