A short walk out of the centre of Rouen and a short - but not unstrenuous - walk up the hillside brings you to the Panorama (the less energetic may drive). We were rewarded with superb views and photo-opportunities of the city of Rouen. Well worth the effort - and you have to walk past an excellent market on the... More

You can take bus 13 from the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville up to the Cöte Ste Cathérine. From there, it is still a 12-minute walk (sloping slightly down, actually) to the vantage point. From a parking space-cum-terrace in a sharp turn in the road there is a magnificent view over Rouen and the Seine valley. It all depends on... More

Beautiful sight. Definitely worth the detour for photographs. A word of warning: pretty difficult to access by foot. I got lost in the hillside streets on my way up. Bring a map. Also, the top of the hill is definitely not pedestrian-friendly.

The walk to the 'foot' of the hill is only about 15 minutes from the Notre Dame Cathedral and if you're looking to kill a couple of hours there are few better ways to do so! If anyone is interested, walk past the Saint-Maclou church along the Rue Martainville, keep going straight over a tram station, under a bridge then... More

We had lovely weather today so made the walk to the top to get an over view. I like this as it brings all the sites visited into focus while getting to burn some calories.

I can't understand why more people don't walk about this, the view is absolutely stunning! You can sit and enjoy the view that Monet painted over 100 years ago. I would strongly recommend every visitor to rouen to do this walk if they have time, but keep in mind it's steep and a little overgrown.

My friend and I decided to walk up the trail to the top of the hill. It is a fairly strenuous walk but the view is incredible. Everyone who goes to Rouen should do this.

You have to wait, if possible, for a sunny moment. The vew overthere is very nice and gives a fine idea of all the historic town with his 100 steeples.
