First time ever staying in the group sites. Some can fit up to 5 trailers and have 5 picnic tables. Wonderful. I truly hate the new entrance to the campground. Currently the office is being rebuilt at the new entrance. Driving forever through a speed...More
Did the Devils Punch Bowl and Spirit sands hike. Enjoyable and well marked. We did not stay at the camp ground but enjoyed and evening at the casino and stayed at the Robins Nest Motel outside of Carberry.
Visited at the end of July with my family. We tried out a yurt for the first time and we were immediately impressed with how cute, cozy and clean it was. There was a bunk bed a futon, and a table and chairs inside. The...More

Spruce Woods is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors summer & winter. There are loads of things to do; hiking, biking, camping, nature watching & cross country skiing to name a few. It's right at our back door so we frequent the park often.

Yes it is. It closes the long weekend in October. You are warned that water service to the campground may not be available after labour day. Other services are reduced, for example the store hours are shorter. We have never camped in the fall at Spruce Woods but we have at Birds Hill Park & water & electricity and the showers were always available until the campground closed. I forgot to write in my review that there is no cell phone service or internet in the campground and cell service is limited in the area around the park..
