A very interesting museum, particularly as it depicts some of the ancient/classical life in what is now Normandy! There seems to be a bit of a jump of a millennium as you go upstairs, but the social history is just as important. Worth a visit...More

We had a wonderful tour of the museum while visiting Omaha Beach on our D-Day tour. It was a beautiful tribute and record of the sacrifice of so men on that fateful day. So many wonderful displays!

This museum goes hand in hand with the visit to the cemeteries along the Normandy Beaches. Make a day of this and don't miss out on the experience while you're here.

Excellent museum , full of artifacts and some explanations were in english too. Very well laid out and quite large. You also get an extra exhibition to visit in another building, which changes throughout the year. All this for 5.50 euros.

This little museum is well worth a visit when you go to the Chateau Ducal, especially if you have an interest in archaeology or classics. Great displays, with English, describing the history of Normandy from the Neolithic on.

Tracing human involvement in Normandy from pre-history to an era when Normandy made and broke kingdoms, this is a small but fascinating museum At present there is the added bonus of an exhibition giving insights into the barbarians who overran the Roman Empire. Perhaps they...More
